Everyone has the right to feel welcome, included, and safe in our work environment. We invite everyone participating in a tour, from the guide to the guests to the vendors, to be active in creating a safe environment. Discrimination of any kind will not be tolerated.
We define intolerable behaviour as anything that belittles, marginalizes, rejects, threatens or harms anyone on the basis of ability, age, cultural background, education, ethnicity, gender, language, nationality, physical appearance, race, religion, self-expression, sexual orientation, marital status, parenthood, etc.
We ask that anyone participating in an Urban Adventures space be aware of their language and behaviour, and to contemplate how it might affect others.
By participating in an Urban Adventures space (a tour, conference, work meeting, training, etc.), you agree to abide by the following guidelines:
Respect peoples’ opinions, beliefs, experiences and differing points of view.
Respect everyone’s identity. Do not assume anyone’s background, health, ability, sexual preference, etc.
Be responsible for your own actions; be aware that your actions have an effect on others, despite your intentions.
Listen and change your behaviour if someone tells you that you are making them uncomfortable.
We hold all Urban Adventures employees to this standard and we also empower you to enforce these guidelines. If someone on your tour fails to abide by the guidelines mentioned above, Urban Adventures reserves the right to ask them to leave without a refund.
We encourage any employee who experiences harassment, abuse, or sexual assault while on your tour or in any Urban Adventures work environment, to approach their manager or a UAG staff member whom you feel comfortable talking to in person or via email.
